Consultancy Services for Solid Waste Treatment Facility Performance Verification

The Directorate of Sanitation, Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of Public Works, has received financing from the World Bank through the Improvement of Solid Waste Management to Support Regional and Metropolitan Cities Project (ISWMP) , and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for the above-mentioned consulting services.

The main objectives of the consulting services (“Services”) are to: Ensure that Integrated Solid Waste Treatment Facilities (Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu/TPST) meet the established performance criteria, so that they can operate effectively and do not cause negative environmental impacts.

Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of waste treatment by ensuring that the technologies and methods used by the facilities comply with best practice standards. Provide quality assurance to the government, communities, and industry that certified waste treatment facilities have been tested and proven to operate in accordance with recognized standards.

Encourage the development and adoption of improved waste treatment technologies through rigorous testing and certification, so that the technologies used can be continuously improved and refined. Reduce environmental and public health risks that may arise from ineffective waste management by ensuring that Integrated Solid Waste Treatment Facilities (TPST) operate in accordance with safe standards.
