Safety Materials Procurement for Urban Productive Safety Net and Job Project in Gondar

Request of Bid -National Bidding Notice Project: Urban Productive Safety Net and Job Project (UPSNJP) Procurement ID Number: ET-AMHARA-GONDAR-515474-GO-RFB The Amhara National Regional State Gondar City Administration Finance Department wishes to procure Safety Materials for Gondar City Administration Food Security and Safety Net Coordination Office for 2018 EFY under the Urban Productive Safety Net and Job Project (UPSNJP) Capital Budget for public work. Therefore, it invites bidders who can meet the following criteria and can compete.

• Valid and renewed business license indicating the stream of business in which the Bidder is engaged.
• Valid Tax clearance certificate and Value Added Tax (VAT) registration certificate issued by the tax authority.
• Have a Tax Identification Number (TIN)
• Bidders must attach photocopies of the relevant documents mentioned in S.N o . 1- 3 above to their bid documents.
• Able to supply the required goods in accordance with the type and specifications requested.
• The winner supplier shall deliver the goods in accordance with the contract, at his own transport expense, to the City Administration Finance Department, Property Administration Section within 30 days from the date of signing the contract.
• A bid security shall be required. The amount of the bid security shall be: 480,000.00 (Four hundred eighty thousand Birr) for Lot one , 109,000.00 (One hundred nine thousand Birr) for Lot two , and 75,000.00 (Seventy five thousand Birr) for Lot three in the form of unconditional bank guarantee or certified payment order (C.P.O)
• The bid shall be valid for 60 days. The bid security shall be valid for twenty-eight days (28) beyond the end of the validity period of the bid.
• Any bidder who wishes to participate in this procurement may purchase the bidding document by paying a non-refundable fee of Birr 500.00 (five hundred birr only), along with a non-returnable photocopy of the documents listed in S.N o 1- 3 above, up to 6:00 local time on 03/07/2018 E.C. from Gondar City Administration Finance Department Office N o . 5.
• The Bidder shall enclose the original and each copy of the bid, in separate sealed envelopes, duly marking the envelopes as “ORIGINAL” and “COPY.” These envelopes containing the original and the copies shall then be enclosed in one single envelope and submitted to Gondar City Administration Finance Department Office N o . 5 during regular working hours up to 8:00 local time on 03/07/2018 E.C.
• The deadline for bid submission of the bid document is at 8:00 local time on on 03/07/2018 E.C. and opened at 8:30 local time on the same day at Gondar City Administration Finance Department Office N o . 5 in the presence of the bidders or their legal representatives and invited observers.
• The successful bidder will be selected by lot by lot Basis.
• The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any bid in whole or in part if a better alternative is found.
