7920-SB Assignment Title: Project Manager (PM) Targeting: National and International applicants Reference No : SB-MOFT-516250-CS-INDV Project Implementation period : 28 November 2025 – 30 August 2030 Duration of working contract : Two (2) years, extendable annually upon mutual understanding and performance up to duration of project). Six (6) months’ probation period applies.
Expected Start date : February 2026 Through World Bank financing, the Ministry of Finance and Treasury (MoFT) will implement the Accelerating Trade Facilitation in the Pacific (ATFP) project in the Solomon Islands, which aims to reduce the time and cost required for cross-border trade in the Solomon Islands.
Thus, the MoFT intends to apply part of the proceeds to employ a Project Manager (PM) to be based at the MOFT/CED’s Project Management Unit (PMU).
The PM is a full-time position and will report to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, in the management and coordination of the Project Work Plan activities and ensuring the project’s management of financial and procurement matters, reporting, and compliance with the project legal agreement.
The MoFT will provide to the designated candidate all materials related to the Project, and will provide the office space, including office furniture, access to IT equipment, stationery, internet, communications, and related utilities. The successful candidate is fully responsible for the cost of local transportation (to/from the office).

The MoFT now invite individuals to indicate their interest to be considered for the role.
Interested individuals should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the role.
The shortlisting will be based on the following criteria: Mandatory criteria: Education and Experience: (i) Master degree on Information Technology related to Project Management or Customs matters with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience required or, (ii) Bachelor degree on Information Technology or Project Management with a minimum of 13 years relevant experience required, (iii) Previous project management and supervisory experience required, (iv) Experience on governance programs, and (v) Experience with SIG inter-agency forum or donor-funded programs as evidenced in the CV.
