Scope overview
Die Appenzeller Bahnen AG (AB) planen, die Bahnstrecke vom Bahnhof Rheineck bis zum Bahnhof Walzenhausen (RhW) über knapp 2 km umfassend zu erneuern. Die gesamte Infrastruktur der Zahnradbahn wird erneuert. Die AB schreiben dafür Bauleistungen für folgende Leistungen aus: Fahrbahnerneuerung, davon ca. 700 m Adhäsion und ca. 750 m Zahnstangenstrecke Sanierung von 2 Tunneln mit Gesamtlänge ca.
370 m (im Gefälle zwischen 160 und 262 ‰) Erneuerung von 3 Brücken mit Gesamtlänge ca. 150 m Erneuerung 3 Haltestellen samt Perron- und Tiefbau (BehiG-Tauglichkeit muss hergestellt werden) Erneuerung der Fahrleitungsanlage auf der gesamten Strecke Weitere Unter- und Überführungen Sicherungsmassnahmen an Böschungen Werkleitungsbau entlang der Strecke
