Auckland Council Seeks Waste Loading and Haulage Services Contract

Auckland Council requests proposals for the provision of the loading and haulage services from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2029. This contract is for the loading and haulage of waste to an approved landfill facility for disposal from Waitakere Refuse and Recycling Transfer Station (WRRTS) at 50 The Concourse, Henderson.

The approved landfill site for disposal is Redvale Landfill, Landfill Access Rd, Dairy Flat until 30 November 2024. Council�s current disposal contracts will come to an end in November 2024. In 2023/24 Council will be procuring for disposal services, therefore, the disposal point after 30 November 2024 is not confirmed at this time.

Because of this, the tenderers will submit their pricing for Redvale (Approved Disposal Facility), as well as several other potential disposal facilities. If any of these potential disposal facilities are used from 1 December (inclusive) 2024, and become Approved Disposal Facilities, the corresponding price submission for these from this request-for-proposal will be applied at that time.

The aim of Auckland Council in this process is to obtain sufficiently detailed information from potential suppliers regarding their respective organisation�s ability to provide the services (having regard to several factors including the quality of the services, the supplier's ability to deliver on a timely basis and price), to enable Auckland Council to select and appoint a party (or parties) to provide the services.
