Dans le cadre de la réhabilitation de l'un de ses sites situés à Grand-Couronne, la direction territoriale de Rouen d'HAROPA Port a réalisé plusieurs études sur les déblais issus des divers travaux de démolition antérieurs et toujours présents sur le terrain. Ces déblais sont regroupés en différents tas ayant fait l'objet de plusieurs caractérisations et essais.
HAROPA Port a décidé de réaliser un essai "pilote" sur site avec le tas n°19, d'un volume de 1 300 m3, afin d'évaluer la faisabilité et l'efficacité d'un tri des remblais, notamment en vue de trier les Matériaux Contenant de l'Amiante
