Consultancy for Early Warning System Design in Son La Province

Reference: UNDP-VNM-01984 UNDP Viet Nam, behalf of UN-Habitat, is looking for 01 qualified consultancy firm/institute/organization for the design, technical configuration and operationalisation planning of an integrated flash-flood and landslide Early Warning Information and Decision Support System for Son La Province, Viet Nam.

These activities range from technical assistance and collaborative action to policy advice, to leave no one and no place behind.

The objective of this assignment is to design, develop/technically configure, pilot-test, and operationalise an integrated provincial flash-flood and landslide early warning solution for Son La Province that enables real-time monitoring, operational risk analysis, decision-support, and timely dissemination of early warning information.

The solution shall function as provincial decision support and last mile dissemination layer under the authority of provincial institutions and shall not replace or duplicate national meteorological and hydrological forecasting mandates. The issuance of official public warnings and alerts remains under competent provincial authorities in accordance with national regulations.
