Structural and Civil Engineering Services for New Court Theatre and Public Realm in Christchurch

The purpose of this RFP is to invite Prospective Consultants to submit their Proposals for Structural and Civil Engineering for the Design and Construction of a new Court Theatre and Public Realm on the Performing Arts Precinct (PAP) in central Christchurch.

The appointed Consultant will actively work with the Lead Architect and wider Design Team for the Court Theatre building from concept design to completion of construction and handover. The Consultant will be engaged directly to Council and work as part of the projects design team led by the Lead Architect.

The objective of this RFP process is to obtain sufficiently detailed and credible information from Prospective Consultants about their respective organisations, capability, experience, and their ability to provide the Services.

In awarding a contract to a Consultant, the Council intends to achieve: - Best value for Christchurch ratepayers, and the wider community; - Alignment with its strategic objectives; - Environmental sustainability - Social responsibility - Economic benefit - Efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of the Services; - Development of a new fit for purpose Court Theatre building.

- Development of an attractive public realm across the entire site The Council invites Prospective Consultants to provide suggestions on how they might work with the Council to minimise costs and/or increase efficiency. The Services for this RFP will be procured as one package.
