Das Gebäude wurde 1940 als Wohnhaus errichtet und später zum Bürogebäude umgebaut. Der Gebäudeteil entlang der Rosentalstrasse weist 6 oberirdische Geschosse sowie ein Dachgeschoss auf. An der Sandgrubenstrasse gibt es einen Gebäudeversatz. Der nördliche Gebäudeteil ist ein Geschoss niedriger. Die gesamte Grundfläche des Gebäudes ist unterkellert.
Die Liegenschaft sowie die angrenzenden Gebäude der Blockrandbebauung sind Objekte im Denkmalinventar der kantonalen Denkmalpflege und befindet sich in der Zone 6. Zukünftig soll das Gebäude wieder als Wohnhaus mit 37 Kleinwohnungen genutzt werden. Die dafür notwendigen Abbruch-, Umbau- und Neubauarbeiten sind Bestandteil dieses Projektes. Bei diesem Auftrag handelt es sich um BKP 258 Küchen.
