Scope overview
De studieopdracht omvat de sloop van het voormalige rijkswachtgebouw, verbouwing van het huidige politiecommissariaat met bijkomende uitbreiding en omgevingswerken voor de Politiezone TARL De lokale politiezone TARL kampt met een structureel gebrek aan ruimte in hun huidige commissariaat. Desondanks het hoofdgebouw dateert uit 2007 barst het gebouw uit zijn voegen en is er geen ruimte meer voor nieuwe aanwervingen.
Het tweede gebouw op de site is verouderd en bovendien voldoet het niet meer aan de huidige normen (politienormen, toegankelijkheid, brandveiligheid, ventilatie, …). Het voormalige rijkswachtgebouw hypothekeert ook de verdere ontwikkeling van de site. Een sloop hiervan lijkt dan een logische evolutie om tot een functioneel politiehuis te komen.
In afwachting werden er 9 containers op de site geplaatst die dienst doen als vergaderruimte, extra burelen, kleedkamers en opslag De opdracht omvat de volledige studie met betrekking tot de architectuur, stabiliteit, technische uitrustingen en omgevings- en infrastructuurwerken.
