/ Grant No.: 7110-SB / E034-SB / 7714-SB / 7715-SB / E416-SB RFB No: SB-PST-477725-CW-RFB Issued on: December 2025 The Government of Solomon Islands has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Solomon Islands Roads and Aviation Project (SIRAP2), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Suavanao Airfield Runway Pavement and Associated Upgrading Works.
The MCA now invites sealed Bids from the eligible Bidders for the Suavanao Airfield Runway Pavement and Associated Upgrading Works, which include Runway sealing and extension, Drainage works, Airfield ground lighting, Airfield line markings and Small terminal building.
Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers-” September 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. Bids will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation process set out in the bidding documents.

The following weightings shall apply for Rated Criteria (including technical and non-price factors): 60 % and for Bid cost: 40%. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from rkonale@sirap.sb and tatyana@paiptfsu.com . The RFB document in English will be emailed to interested eligible Bidders, upon the submission of a written application to the e-mail address below.
Bids must be emailed to the addresses below on or before 10:00am on 25 February 2026, Solomon Islands time. Electronic bidding will be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected.
The TECHNICAL PART will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address below via Google Meet: https://meet.google.com/fwm-anvs-sfe at 11:00am on 25 February 2026, Solomon Islands time . All FINANCIAL PARTs shall remain unopened and will be held in safe custody of the Employer until the second public Bid opening.
All Bids must be accompanied by a: (i) Bid-Securing Declaration; and (ii) Local Labour Method Statement. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
