  • The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Food Systems Resilience Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply & Delivery of 446No.User Laptops, 331No. Desktop Computers, 14No.Production Laptops and 66No.Tablets. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.
  • The State Department for Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply & Delivery of User Laptops, Desktop Computers, Production Laptops and Tablets as shown below;

  • Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” First Published July 2016 and Revised September 2023 Edition (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
  • Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from State Department for Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Food Systems Resilience Project (FSRP), Director, Supply Chain Management through email info@fsrp.go.ke and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0900 to 1600 hours East African Time (EAT) at the address given below or on the Kilimo’s website
  • The bidding document in English may be downloaded free of charge from the State Department for Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development’s website www.kilimo.go.ke Bidders who download the bidding documents are invited to notify the procuring entity by email with full contact details if they intended to participate, as this will facilitate issuance of notifications by the procuring entity, to all bidders where necessary.
  • Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 1100Hrs EAT on 5th March 2026. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 1100Hrs EAT on 5th March 2026.
  • All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Kes. 2,694,000 (Kenya Shillings Two Million, Six Hundred and Ninety Four Thousand) from a financial Institution.
  • Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
