  • The Government of Malawi (GoM) has secured a grant from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank to assist in improving resilience to water-related climate shocks under the Regional Climate Resilience Program for Eastern and Southern Africa 2 (RCRP-2), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of ICT and Office Equipment for Project Coordinating Unit and Project Implementing Units Under Rcrp-2.
  • The Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Decentralization through the Department of Economic Planning and Decentralization now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply and Delivery of ICT and Office Equipment for Project Coordinating Unit and Project Implementing Units Under Rcrp-2 as summarized below;

  • Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated February, 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
  • Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents from the Procurement Unit at the address given at paragraph 9a below from 08.00 to 12-00; 13.00 to 16.00 hours’ local time (Monday to Friday, except national public holidays).
  • The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Malawi Kwacha (MKW 10,000.00) or in a convertible currency. The method of payment will be Cash or Bank Certified Cheque.
  • Bids must be delivered to the address below in 9b below on or before 17th March, 2026 at 14.00 hours . Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address in 9c below after the closing time (14.00 hours) Local time.
  • All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing declaration .
  • Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
