• The Government of Malawi has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Accelerating Sustainable and Clean Energy Access Transformation in Malawi (ASCENT Malawi Project) which is being implemented by the Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi Limited (ESCOM). ESCOM intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of Electric Motorcycles.
• ESCOM now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply and Delivery of Electric Motorcycles.

• Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
