Scope overview

BRIEFLY THE PROJECT SCOPE IS TO CARRY OUT FLOOD CONTROL MEASURES TO PREVENT FUTURE FLOODING OF THE SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT OF EPISKOPI STATION, WHICH IS LOCATED IN HAPPY VALLEY AREA. THESE MEASURES CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING WORKS: o THE CONSTRUCTION OF A RETAINING WALL 140 METERS LONG.

THE PROPOSED WALL WILL HAVE A HEIGHT OF 1.50 METERS FOR THE FIRST 45.00 METERS AND A HEIGHT OF 2.00 METERS FOR THE REMAINING 85.00 METERS. THE CHANNEL WIDTH MUST BE MINIMUM 7.00 METERS FOR THE FIRST 55.00 M AND 4.00 M FOR THE REMAINING 85.00 M. THE WALL WILL HAVE ONE-METER FOUNDATION IMMERSED IN THE GROUND FOR EROSION PROTECTION PURPOSES.

THE RIVERBED AT THE WHOLE LENGTH OF THE 140 METERS, WILL BE FORMATTED TO ALLOW THE SMOOTH FLOW OF STORM WATER. o THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CHECK DAM UPSTREAM OF THE ROAD CULVERT USING GABIONS TO ACT AS A PHYSICAL BARRIER. THE LOCATION OF THE PROPOSED CHECK DAM IS ABOUT 60 METERS UPSTREAM OF THE MAIN ROAD. THE CHECK DAM WILL BE CONSTRUCTED USING GABIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH DESIGN DRAWINGS.

o THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW CULVERT THROUGH THE HORSE STABLES, THAT WILL PREVENT FLOODING WITHIN THE STABLE FACILITIES. THE PROPOSED CULVERT WILL HAVE A DIAMETER OF 0.80 METER AND A LENGTH OF 50 METERS. Access to HSW areas have several restrictions that should be complied with as follows: - All persons entering these areas should have a valid security pass.

Such pass can only be provided to Greek Cypriots, Turkish Cypriots or UK nationals. - Persons working on site will be escorted throughout the duration of the project - No mobile phones or other electronic devices will be permitted on site during the works.

The Provisional Key Tender dates for the project are as follows: - EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: MONDAY 19TH JANUARY 2026 - EXPRESSION OF INTEREST RETURN: WEDNESDAY 04TH FEBRUARY 2026 - INVITATION TO TENDER: MONDAY 09TH FEBRUARY 2026 - TENDER RETURN DATE: MONDAY 09TH MARCH 2026 - CONTRACT AWARD: MONDAY 25TH MAY 2026 - COMMENCEMENT OF WORK: WEDNESDAY 10TH JUNE 2026 - COMPLETION OF WORK: FRIDAY 2ND OCTOBER 2026 The currency of this project is Euro (€).

The location of this project is Cyprus (British Forces, EPISKOPI). THE PROJECT SITE LOCATIONS ARE: - HAPPY VALLEY SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT - HAPPY VALLEY STABLES - NORTH OF MAIN ROAD UPSTREAM OF HAPPY VALLEY SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT Additional information: WORK COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION DATES WILL BE SUBJECT TO MOD DIO'S AGREEMENT, AS THEY WILL BE DICTATED BY THE OPERATING AUTHORITY TO AVOID OPERATIONAL RESTRICTIONS.
