Scope overview
EECA and MPI are undertaking a collaborative research programme to better understand the sustainable production and use of woody biomass for bioenergy. EECA will be leading the procurement process to identify a suitable supplier to deliver this work; MPI will be assisting with the evaluation, moderation and forming of the contract with the preferred supplier.
This research project aims to better understand the environmental and emissions impact of woody biomass production and use for bioenergy, as well as establishing the baseline for optimising the sustainable production and use of woody biomass in decarbonising New Zealand�s energy related emissions.
