Scope overview
Derby City Council is undertaking this procurement to establish a contract for provision of Family Group Conferencing. The initial contract period is 1 year. The contract is estimated to commence 1st March 2026 and expire 28th February 2027. There will be an option to extend the contract for 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract period is 2 years.
There is a maximum budget of £90,000 per annum, a total of £90,000.00 over the initial contract term. Should the contract be extended for a further 12 months, the total contract value shall not exceed £180,000.00 over the full contract term inclusive of any extensions.
The service will: • To facilitate and deliver high quality Family Group Conferences (FGC) in Derby, in accordance with the identified policies, practice standards and aims of the Family Group Conference Service. • To ensure that the service delivered is effective, of exceptional quality and value for money.
• To ensure that preparation for the FGC reflects any existing formal or statutory plans in place (e.g., Child Protection Plan, Child in Need Plan). • To fully include the voice of children, young people and their families in decisions relating to the services being provided. • Ensure that the Family Plan is child focused, does not compromise the safety of children and meets the expectations of the referring agency.

It is recommended that you express interest and obtain the documentation well before this time to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit a comprehensive response. The deadline for returns is 10:00am on 19 December 2025.
