Tietopyynnön tarkoituksena on kerätä hankinnan kohdetta koskevaa tietoa tulevaa kilpailutusta varten. Tietopyyntöön vastaaminen ei ole edellytys mahdolliseen myöhempään kilpailutukseen osallistumiselle.
Tulevan kilpailutuksen onnistumisen varmistamiseksi olisi kuitenkin tärkeää, että tarjoajat antaisivat hankintayksikölle mahdollisimman laajasti pyydettyjä tietoja. Tietopyyntö ei velvoita Istekki Oy:tä toteuttamaan hankintaa tietopyynnössä tai sen liitteissä kuvatulla tavalla ja tarjouskilpailu voidaan myös jättää toteuttamatta.
Tällä tietopyynnöllä selvitetään puhealustojen ylläpitopalvelun ja ohjelmistolisenssien markkinatilannetta. Tietopyyntöön vastanneille ei makseta korvausta tietopyynnön tekemisestä tai mahdollisiin tietopyyntöön liittyviin esittelytilaisuuksiin osallistumisesta. Tarvittaessa Istekki järjestää useamman vuoropuhelukierroksen ja/tai luonnostilaisten materiaalin kommenttikierroksen.
