Bakgrunnen for prosjektet Hustadvika brannstasjon er behovet for en moderne, funksjonell og framtidsrettet hovedstasjon for Hustadvika brann og redning (HBR), som har ansvaret for et omfattende og befolkningsrikt område. Kommunestyret fattet 18.09.2025 endelig vedtak om å etablere ny brannstasjon på Dalemyra.
Den nye stasjonen skal være et moderne, nøkternt og driftseffektivt bygg som tilfredsstiller gjeldende krav til brann- og feiervesen, og fungere som hovedstasjon i Hustadvika kommune. Stasjonen skal også ivareta funksjoner som vaskeri samt ren og skitten sone for øvrige lokasjoner, inkludert Bud og Eide. Ny brannstasjon er arealberegnet til ca. 1076 m2 BTA.
