Scope overview
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation to suitably qualified suppliers to submit a Proposal for the Uawa Walking and Cycling Trail contract opportunity. Uawa Walking and Cycling trail is a new initiative for the Uawa region to help with providing key connections between locations within Tolaga Bay.
At the forefront of this concept is connecting the communities on the southern side of the river with the school and the township. Providing a safe connection from home to school is an important community outcome that is a key driver for the local community to progress the trail.
Other strategic connections have been identified as providing an off-road connection between the town and the wharf, campground, and Cooks Cove walkway. Currently, locals and visitors make this journey by car or by walking around the state highway.
