UNICEF Papua New Guinea Seeks Climate Resilient Water Supply Contractors

We cordially invite you/your organisation/company to submit your Proposal(s) for the TENDER OPPORTUNITY BELOW: Establishment of a Long Term Arrangement for Services (abbrev. LTA-S) for Climate resilient water supply works in PNG: Solar powered borehole and Gravity Water Feed.

Purpose and Objective UNICEF PNG intends to establish time bound multiple Long-Term Arrangements (LTAs) with climate resilient water supply construction contractors/firms for a period of 2 years with possibility of extension of another year based on satisfactory performance to construct gravity water feed, construct and equip boreholes, including sanitary inspection, geophysical siting, drilling and installation of solar pumps, water quality testing and treatment, reticulation of pipes in selected sites in provinces throughout PNG.

The specialised nature of the works under this Terms of Reference (ToR) requires the use of experienced drilling contractors with adequate understanding of the local hydrogeological conditions. It is, therefore, planned to establish LTAs with qualified drilling contractors who have the experience, knowledge and skills for carrying out this work.

The implementation of the LTA will start with KOICA Project that aims to increase access to climate resilient water supply in three schools and surrounding communities in Bulolo districts / Morobe Province.

What is Long-Term Arrangement (LTA) It is a non-binding contractual framework that represents an offer on the part of the service provider/contractor to provide UNICEF with required services at fixed established prices under the terms & condition detailed therein for the duration of the arrangement and does not represent a contract or oblige UNICEF to spend any monies whatsoever.
