Die Fachhochschule Südwestfalen (FH SWF) hat an ihren Standorten Iserlohn, Hagen, Soest, Meschede und Lüdenscheid zentral verwaltete Campusnetzwerke die aktuell durch angemietete Verbindungsleitungen eines Providers auf Basis der Ethernet-Technologie miteinander gekoppelt sind.
Es ist beabsichtigt, die WAN-Backbone zwischen den Hauptliegenschaften, sowie die Anbindungen zweier vom jeweiligem Hauptcampus getrennten Liegenschaften, zu erneuern.
