Scope overview
The district requests proposals for a comprehensive Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) solution, requiring a quantity of two (2) non-redundant appliances to secure our two primary internet exits. This service is intended to correct the 'Lack of Advanced/Next-Generation Firewalls' identified in our cybersecurity plan.
The proposed solution must provide real-time network traffic monitoring, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), advanced threat detection using AI/ML technologies, and Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) protection to protect the district's broadband network.
The District intends to procure the requested products and/or services utilizing an existing Washington State interlocal agreement (State Contract) or cooperative purchasing contract (piggyback), in compliance with applicable state law and district policy.
Acceptable cooperative agreements include, but are not limited to: Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES), TCPN, US Communities, WSCA, KPN, SIPC, TIPS, KCDA, and WSIPC. Vendors must clearly identify the cooperative contract under which pricing is proposed and provide documentation verifying the District’s eligibility to purchase through that contract.
