Scope overview

This pre-solicitation notice is to inform potential offerors that the Albany NY VA Medical Center will be posting a solicitation (36C24226R0033) on or about January 16th, 2026, to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the Renovate for Cardiac Cath & IR project(528A8-18-801).

This project is necessary to create two(2) separate Procedure Rooms (1 Cardiac Cath Lab and 1 Vascular Interventional Radiology Lab), along with the required ancillary facilities to support the Procedure rooms at the Albany VA Medical Center 113 Holland Avenue, Albany NY 12208.

It has been determined that there are qualified firms in accordance with Public Law 109-461 that are capable of performing under NAICS Code 236220, "COMMERCIAL AND INSTITUTIONAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION", with a size standard of $45M. Therefore this procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses. The estimated construction value of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.

Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the Solicitation. Bid bonding will be required to respond to this RFP once released. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL Solicitation materials consisting of the Information for Proposal Details, Specifications, Drawings and Contract Forms will be available on http://www.sam.gov in electronic format only.

These should be available on or about January 16th, 2026. An Offeror's mailing list, list of interested parties and/or list of attendees at site visits WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contract Specialist. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.sam.gov. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed.

No other notification of amendments will be provided. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation and attaching to their bid. All bids and correspondence will be by email only to the Contracting Officer: Michael.Spivack@va.gov.
