Scope overview
Voorwerp van deze werken Hydrologisch en landschapsherstel op het voormalige vliegveld van Malle. Doel van de werken De beoogde werken kaderen in herstel van heischraal grasland, heide- en venhabitats. Plaats van uitvoering De werken vinden plaats in de provincie Antwerpen in de gemeente Malle. De situering van de percelen waarop werken gepland zijn, worden weergegeven op de kaarten in bijlage.
De werken vinden plaats in een speciale beschermingszone (SBZ). Het gebied werd door de Europese Unie aangeduid als Habitatrichtlijngebied en maakt deel uit van het Natura 2000-netwerk. Daardoor zijn een aantal vegetaties en habitats beschermd naast een hele lijst aan zeldzame diersoorten (soorten en habitats van de Habitatrichtlijn). Deze werken zijn gericht op het herstel van deze Natura 2000 habitats.
