Scope overview

1). Standalone Data Transmission Services: Seeks 2x10Gbps INDIVIDUAL DEDICATED POINT-TO-POINT LEASED LIT FIBER circuits (EPL, ADE, NON OTU-4, or EQUIVALENT). with LC-UPC duplex connectors, 1310nm optical wavelength handoffs at both the A and Z locations. NO INTERNET ACCESS.

Service A location - Bell Station Education Facility, 415 West 18th Street, Merced, CA 95340, and Z location - Merced County Office of Education Wired Data Center, 450 West 18th Street, Merced, CA 95340. Pricing is for a five (5) year term agreement.2). Data Transmission Services Leased Dark Fiber: Seeks 4-strand SINGLE-MODE LEASED DARK FIBER for an INDIVIDUAL DEDICATED POINT-TO-POINT circuit.

All Leased Dark Fiber Strands must be terminated to SC-APC duplex connectors at both the A and Z locations. Testing shall include OTDR and light level testing for 1310nm and 1550nm optical wavelengths. Provide test results to the customer upon completion.

Service A location - Bell Station Education Facility, 415 West 18th Street, Merced, CA 95340, and Z location - Merced County Office of Education Wired Data Center, 450 West 18th Street, Merced, CA 95340. Maintenance & Operations - seeks maintenance & operations of leased dark fiber. Pricing is for a five (5) year term agreement.

NOTE: The contract term for leased dark fiber shall be 5 years (California Education Code 17596). In addition, MCOEseeks proposals for leased dark fiber in the form of an IRU (Indefeasible Right To Use). The contract term of the IRU is perpetual.3). If special construction charges are required, then the District requests the costs to be invoiced across four years per E-Rate rules.
