Reference: UNDP-PHL-00883 Description of the Assignment: Scope of Work The Individual Consultant (IC) is expected to undertake the following tasks to support the preparations and conduct of the ASEAN Climate Week Parallel Session that UNDP is organizing under the Climate Finance Network and AGCF Project on 29-30 April 2026: Pre-Event: • Participate in preparatory meetings organized by the UNDP Project Team, DENR, and relevant partners to review the programme flow, confirm roles, and clarify expectations.
• Provide inputs on the draft activity design. • In collaboration with the Project Team, prepare a draft discussion guide proposing the appropriate format, flow, and key guide questions to facilitate substantive discussion during relevant sessions (e.g., panel discussions, action planning sessions) of the two-day activity.
• Prior to the panel discussion, conduct a briefing with the panelists/ speakers to set clear expectations on the session’s format, time limits, and guidelines for handling questions; Event Proper: • Serve as the event’s Master of Ceremonies and Moderator for the panel discussion; encourage constructive and participatory dialogue during the session; and, provide synthesis of the discussion at the end of the session.
Post-Event: • Prepare a concise post-event report/ facilitation summary, including synthesis of panel discussions and country interventions; recommendations for future regional capacity building sessions. • If needed, participate in a brief post-event debriefing with the UNDP Project Team and DENR. Duration of Work and Duty Station Duty station is Metro Manila.
The expected duration of the assignment is eight (8) person-days between 20 April 2026 to 30 May 2026, unless revised in a mutually agreed upon timetable between the Consultant and UNDP.
Qualification of the Consultant The Consultant shall demonstrate the following competencies at the required minimum level: Education • University degree in environmental science/management, economics, social sciences, development studies, or other relevant fields.
Experience • At least five (5) years of proven experience facilitating workshops, conferences, learning events, strategic dialogues, or multisector convenings. • At least three (3) years of experience working on climate change, circular economy, environmental sustainability, regenerative design, climate-related policy or foresight, community-based environmental programs and other related fields.
Language • Has an excellent level of proficiency in English and Filipino (speaking, reading, and writing) Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.
