Scope overview
The District plans to enter into a contract to implement a fiber optic-based Internet Access service with a physical hand-off capable of supporting 40 Gbps from the service providers point of presence to the Leander Independent School District Information Technology Services Data Center at 315 S W dr., Leander, Texas 78641.
The initial committed bandwidth shall be a minimum of 20 Gbps, with the ability for the District to scale service up to a maximum of 40 Gbps during the contract term The district requires this service to be installed and available for service on or about July 1, 2026. This connection will provide internet service for approximately half of the district.
