P508940 The Government of Punjab through the Government of Pakistan has received financing in the amount of 47.357 million USD ($) equivalent from the World Bank through a GPE-funded initiative toward the cost of “Getting Results: Access and Delivery of quality Education Services and System Transformation (GRADES-P) in Punjab project” and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for good, works, non-consulting and consulting services to be procured under this project.
The GRADES-STP project consolidates and brings more focus to strengthen foundational learning, increase enrolment, and advance system-wide reforms across Punjab. It draws lessons from the foundational learning that the Government of Punjab has been implementing in the education sector, with support from various donors.
The objective and the goal of this project is “ To improve girls’ and boy’s participation and learning levels in pre-primary and primary levels and enhance remedial learning at elementary levels.” The Project will finance several goods, comprising of furniture, books, learning kits, tablets for Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) classrooms, assistive devices, hardware & software and consultancies services comprising of Services for third party validation firm(s), teacher training implementation study, baseline, midline and end line surveys, development and digitization of training modules, assessment and research studies, household surveys etc.
The project will also involve community driven development activities. Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (September 2023) (Procurement Regulations) and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
The World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided no objection. Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, on the World Bank’s external website and on PMIU-PESRP https://pesrp.edu.pk website (if available).
All SPNs attracting International and National market will also be published in some national dailies in Pakistan.
