Travel locations-Beijing and project sites in China Description of the Assignment: The National Peatland Ecosystem and Resource Management Expert (National Team Leader) is to assist the International Team Leader in developing the UNDP Project Document and CEO Endorsement Request for the project “Integrated Management of Permafrost Peatland in Northern China for Biodiversity Conservation and Climate Actions”.
In addition, the National Team Leader is required to coordinate with PPG team members, government entities and relevant stakeholders to ensure that all deliverables are completed on time and with high quality. In addition, the consultant will also engage in a subset of individual assignments which include preparing a situation analysis, site descriptions etc.
The sections below provide more details on the specific tasks of the National Team Leader. Period of assignment/services: 44 working days, expected from March 10, 2026 to June 30, 2027 Please be noted we are hiring a National expert, only applicants who are Chinese nationality will be accepted. Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.
