Ministry of Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification P O Box G37, Honiara Solomon Islands Community Benefit Sharing Project -Phase 2 The Community Benefit Sharing Project -Phase 2 (CBSPII) is a World Bank funded project under the Ministry of Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification (MMERE), through the IDA Grant Facility.
The CBSPII also plays a subsidiary role alongside the Tina River Hydropower Development Project (TRHDP) with the objective to enable target communities in the Tina catchment area to benefit from improved access to and use of basic infrastructure and services and to operationalize the community benefit share fund (CBSF) which was created under CBSP-Phase 1.
The CBSPII has four components: Component 1 – Operationalize the CBSF Component 2 – Community infrastructure investments Component 3 – Capacity building training and skills enhancement Component 4 – Project management support, monitoring and evaluation The MMERE through the CBSPII Project Management Unit (PMU) will be responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of the CBSPII project.
