Malawi Government Seeks Bids for Furniture Supply Under GESD Project

• The Malawi Government has received grant financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Governance to Enable Service Delivery Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of Assorted Furniture “For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.”
• The National Local Government Finance Committee now invites sealed Bids from eligible bidders for Supply and Delivery of the following;

In all cases, bidders are required to quote for all items in each chosen lot. Failure to do so will make the bid to be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. Evaluation and award will be on the basis of individual lots. Bidders are requested to indicate clearly the procurement reference number

• Bidding will be conducted through open national using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers “dated September, 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below in (9) on 23rd March, 2026 at 10:00hrs Local time.
• All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration, ” as appropriate
